William A. Martin
Bill Martin is a tenured full-professor in both the Applied Aviation Sciences and the Aeronautical Science Departments on the Daytona Beach Campus. He has been a certificated pilot since 1965, and involved in aviation education since joining the University in 1970. He has served as a military aviator, is a former dean of ERAU’s College of Aviation Technology, and has previously served as the University's Chief Flight Instructor and Director of Flight Standards. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in aeronautical science, as well as an Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
He is the course monitor for and teaches SF 210 - Introduction to Aerospace Safety; SF 350 - Aircraft Crash and Emergency Management; MSA 595b – Terrorism and the Birth of Homeland Security; and, MAS 613 - Airport Operations Safety. He has also taught a safety course using a distance learning format through the Worldwide Campus.
