William D. Waldock
Professor Waldock is the Associate Director of the Center for Aerospace Safety
Education (CASE) at ERAU-Prescott, Arizona. He holds a B.A. from the University
of Florida, a Master's degree in Aerospace Science from ERAU and he has over 15
years of experience in the field of aviation safety and has been flying actively
in general aviation for almost 20 years. He served more than 20 years in the
U.S. Coast Guard, active and reserve. He is also a private consultant and
President of System Safety, Inc., specializing in aircraft accident
investigation and has completed more than 50 field investigations and
over 150 accident analyses to date. He is a Contributing Editor to
Aviation Safety magazine and is an active member in the American
Society of Safety Engineers, AOPA, the World Safety Organization, the
SAFE association, and is currently President of the Arizona Chapter of
the International Society of Air Safety Investigators. He is a "Certified
Safety Specialist" by the World Safety Organization. In 1990, the SAFE
Association awarded him the General Spruance Award for outstanding
contributions to aviation safety through education.
